Are customer’s needs are diverse. Their businesses can be complex. We are different from other distributors in that we look at their total business, regardless of their size, and develop solutions that help them compete and be successful in whatever channels they plan to sell through. One of the things we do best is managing our product and supplier mix to ensure we have the right product, in the right quantities, in the correct location at the right price when they need it.

We take managing our categories way beyond what other distributors do. We infuse strategic sales, marketing and merchandising sensibilities in the decision we make to insure the product we carry are sellable, meet the needs of our customers and are supported in a way that promotes pull-through at our dealers and retailers. We build programs that launch new products. We provide seasonal buying opportunities so our customers can improve their margins. And we show them ways to capture sales by rethinking the way they engage consumers either in their stores or online.

It’s a daunting task but we make it seem easy by organizing our suppliers and their products into 26 categories. Overseeing each related grouping is a Category Manager, who keeps their finger on the pulse of that market segment and sources products that are innovative, meet the current and emerging demands of consumers and offer good sales and profit potential for everyone. NTP-STAG’s Category Teams are a blend of Category Management, Merchandising, Marketing, Procurement and Inventory Management professionals that are focused on driving growth in their segments for all their stakeholders.
